Leading run scorer in the history of Indian T20 League

Indian T20 league has seen a lot of players evolve, especially uncapped players. We've seen the likes of Rahane, Gill, Shaw, Rahul among others evolve in the League. The League provides a platform for uncapped Indian crickets to hone their skills so that they could perform well later in their careers.

After Kohli, with 5619 runs Shikhar Dhawan stands on the second position on the list. Currently he leads the Delhi Capitals and has also led Hyderabad in the past. Dhawan has an average of 35.33 in the League and also holds the record for the most fours by a player. He has played a total of 185 matches and has a best score of 106 not-out.

Mr Consistent

Chennai's one of the greatest assets Suresh Raina is on the third place and has 5495 runs in his name. Scoring at an average of 39.50, Raina has been one of the most consistent players in the history of this game. Raina performs well whenever his team is under pressure and delivers a match winning performance almost every time his team is in jeopardy. 

Mr Hitman

Rohit Sharma has proved to be the best captain as he has 5 Indian T20 League titles in his name. Mumbai captain has made a spot in the hearts of almost all cricketing fans in India. With 5480 runs he is on the fourth place, just behind Raina. He has a batting average of 31.49, he has 40 half-centuries in his name.

Destructive Opener

Leading his team, Hyderabad, into the playoffs and winning the title, David Warner has been the best overseas player among others also holds a place in the top 5 run getters in the League's history. Scoring 5447 run in total, Warner has one of the best strike rates. He had a tremendous 2016 season where he led his team to victory and was the second highest run scorer. 

Apart from these players, de Villiers, Chris Gayle and MS Dhoni also stand just behind in the queue. With a difference of around 500-700 runs these players could also be future top run-getters.
